The 2023 China International Weighing Instruments (Shanghai) Exhibition was held again in Shanghai New International Expo Center after four years of COVID. The exhibition displays various types of non-automatic weighing instruments, automatic weighing instruments, crane scales,balances, load cells, weighing display controllers, weighing systems, related testing instruments, weights, components, materials, special weighing processing equipment, etc. There are more than 200 companies from domestic and overseas participating in this exhibition, with an exhibition area of nearly 20,000 square meters. 76% of the booths are specially designed and the remaining 24% are standard booths. Numerous exhibitors presented a variety of new and important products. This Inter Weighing is the first time China has opened its doors after the epidemic. When they were noticed that the 2023 China International Weighing Instruments Exhibition will be held in Shanghai in November 2023, overseas exhibitors were very enthusiastic. They actively contacted the organizer within a limited time, applied for invitation letters to participate in the exhibition, and expedited the application for visas to China. After getting their visas, they eagerly looked forward to the long-awaited international weighing instrument feast. The appearance of “foreign faces” has become a highlight of this event, giving people the feeling of “you are standing on the bridge looking at the scenery, and the people watching the scenery are watching you upstairs”. Before the opening of the exhibition, some visitors from abroad, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan arrived in China in advance. They start by visiting long-lost clients or industry friends. Some foreign visitors who arrived during the exhibition also visited the exhibition after arriving in Shanghai. As soon as the exhibition ended, each exhibiting company warmly invited companies interested in cooperation to visit its facilities and discuss final cooperation matters. Some professional visitors reached cooperation agreements with exhibitors on-site and paid immediately. Even in the last half day of the exhibition, there were still many foreign visitors chatting at each booth. Exhibitors negotiated business, cooperation, and friendship with domestic and foreign merchants and achieved fruitful results. Many exhibitors expressed satisfaction and gratitude to the exhibition exchange and cooperation platform established by the Weighing Instrument Association during and after the exhibition. Chen Riqing, senior advisor to the Technical Expert Committee of the China Weighing Instrument Association, member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the China Weighing Instrument Association, deputy director of the editorial board of “Weighing Instruments” magazine, and advisor to the Second Group Standards Technical Committee, chairman of the China Weighing Instrument Association, shared his thoughts on this exhibition: “The most profound impact on me at this exhibition is that some far-sighted small and medium-sized private enterprises gave up their vicious price competition mentality for low-end products and began to focus on the development of high-end products, such as electromagnetic force balance sensors for precision measurement; high-speed and high-precision inspection Weighing scales; Internet of Things intelligent weighing and logistics control systems; commercial packaging labels and systems; multi-functional electronic scales, etc. – Material ingredients, high-speed packaging and intelligent weighing feedback systems, etc. Compared with imported high-end products, small and medium-sized private Enterprises have obvious cost advantages in high-end products. Liu Jiuqing, senior consultant of the Technical Expert Committee of the China Weighing Instrument Association, member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the China Weighing Instrument Association, and editorial board member of “Weighing Instruments” magazine, expressed his views on the exhibition: “I don’t see the content at this exhibition that is comprehensive enough, such as the category of weighing sensors. , there are as many as 28 exhibitors, the appearance quality of the products has been greatly improved, and the varieties and specifications are more comprehensive. Weighing sensors that meet the needs of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.” During this China International Weighing Instrument Exhibition, the China Weighing Instrument Association also held a standardization work meeting and the founding meeting of the Second Group Standards Committee; the 21st National Weighing Instrument Technology Seminar and the release of new weighing instrument technologies and products; and the China Weighing Instrument Association Activities related to the 40th anniversary of the establishment.
