Recently, the General Administration of Market Supervision issued the Notice on Further Deepening the Comprehensive Rectification of the Market Order of Electronic Pricing Scales, deciding to continue to carry out the comprehensive rectification of the market order of electronic pricing scales from May to October, 2024.
This comprehensive rectification focuses on the "lack of catty" and other prominent issues, aiming to improve the whole chain of regulatory mechanisms from production to sales. By severely investigating and dealing illegal acts occured in production, sale, modification and use of electronic price scales with cheating functions, we will further strengthen the technical capabilities and means to prevent fraudulent acts of electronic price scales, explor new models of intelligent supervision, and constantly improve the construction of credit measurement systems.
Relevant departments will strengthen the whole chain management from the following aspects: the electronic scale verification system, the supervision in the process of sales and maintenance, the daily supervision of the market, shopping malls, mobile vendors, etc., and the anti-cheating technology research.
The upgrade of anti-cheating technology applied in electronic weighing and multi-agency joint supervision of law enforcement should be promoted. By continuously increasing the investigation and measurement and exposure of illegal acts, and actively organizing the popularization of metrological knowledge to enhanced consumers' awareness of fraud prevention.
